Shearpin Couplings

Overview

Our shearpin couplings are designed to offer mechanical protection for gearboxes and motors in the event of sudden equipment loading by shearing replaceable pins and instantly decoupling the drive from the equipment.

  • Mechanical protection offers far superior protection compared to electrical cutoffs as by the time the electrical system senses the overload the load has already been transmitted through the gearbox and motor, potentially causing damage.
